Technology Retirement:
IT collaborated with the Faculty
Senate IT Committee to phase out the VHS videocassette
format in campus classrooms, to be completed by Fall 2013.
Student Employment:
IT is the top campus employer of
students, with $167,064 paid to student workers in FY12.
Student Tech Benefits:
IT has provided
more benefits to enrolled students through
less costly textbooks using eTexts; 50GB
of accessible and collaborative cloud
storage for every student through Box.
iu.edu; the ability to connect with IU’s
network at other universities using eduroam;
and access to many programs on any device by using IU’s
virtual service IUanyWARE.
Web Development:
The Web Team redesigned pages for 21
schools and offices, plus 11 academic programs.
