Meet the Professor
Michael Hutchins has a B.A. in German fromCalvin College, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in German
Studies from the University of Cincinnati. His research interests include the influence of Jewish
messianic traditions on the scholarly and literary work of W.G. Sebald and terrorism and nostalgia
in Post-Wende fiction/the novels of Uwe Tellkamp. Hutchins teaches contemporary German fiction
and theater, as well as German language and culture.
