January 20, 2012: Educational Leadership Advising Session: JCPS/KY only

Required group advising session for licensed educators interested in earning KY principal's certification (there are other sessions for IN candidates). Held as part of the JCPS Leadership Fair on Jan. 20, 4:30p, at Liberty HS.

January 26, 2012: Counseling Master's Advising Session

Required group advising session for persons interested in earning IN and/or KY a School Counseling license. Thursday, 1/26, 5:30p, University Center #121.

February 27, 2012: Deadline for 2011-12 JCPS "+15" verifications

Salary adjustments for this contract year for “+15” verifications (Rank 2 or 3 with 15 or more grad hours towards the next rank) must be received by JCPS Personnel from the IU Southeast School of Education by the end of business on March 1, 2012. “Any salary adjustment (verification) received after March 1 will be applied to the teacher’s salary in 2012-2013”—JCPS Personnel policy.

Our Student Services Office is glad to verify your +15 status, but must first have an original, signed request on file. Request forms may be gotten from HH0029 or jlclemen@ius.edu. Requests will be honored at any time, but must be submitted to Student Services by 4 pm, Monday, February 27, allowing time for review, consultation, and processing, to meet the JCPS deadline. (Official transcripts of non-IU coursework applied to IU Southeast programs must be on file.)

Sponsored by IU Southeast's Career Services Office (812/941.2275). Tuesday, 3/8/12, 4-6p, Hoosier Room. Representatives from local and distant school systems will be on hand to discuss job prospects. Open to all IU Southeast students, graduates, working teachers, and the general public. Recommend that participants bring several copies of resumes. Reservations not needed.
