Welcome to the Elementary Education Program

The School of Education offers a program leading to the B. S in Elementary Education. The elementary education major leads to Indiana's teaching license for K-6. Licensing in Kentucky is also available.

Transfer students with 26 or fewer credit hours are advised in the University's Academic Success Center, please contact them at: 812/941.2243.  Persons interested in transferring into our Elementary bachelor's program with more than 26 credit hours should contact Dr Barbara Thompson-Book for advising: Hillside Hall #108F, 812/941.2563, bacthomp@ius.edu.  Candidates accepted into the program have assigned faculty advisors.
