License Advising Sessions

Graduate Admission Application Deadlines:

  • Summer Session 1: March 1
  • Summer Session 2: June 1
  • Fall: August 1
  • Spring: October 1

Graduate Advising/Licensing

  1. If you need individual advising for the MS, licensure, or Rank I programs contact Laura Dunlevy at lldunlev@ius.edu or (812) 941-2386 and she will schedule you for a meeting with Dr. Robin Fankhauser.
  2. If you wish to attend an initial advising session, please see the schedule below.
  3. If you have a question or concern about your license application, contact rfankhau@ius.edu using your IU email account.  Please provide as much information as possible to assist her in responding to your request.
  4. If you are seeking permission for a class, contact rfankhau@ius.edu using your IU email account.  If it is for E590, S590 or X590, please follow the directions found in the online schedule.


Reading License certification program (addition):

Interested candidates are required to watch a Reading License Screen Cast prior to applying to program. Please visit the "Forms and Manuals" section on the Reading Teacher License Program page to access the screen cast. For questions, please contact Dr. Susan Ridout by phone, (812) 941-2367, or email, sridout@ius.edu.

ESL/ENL License certification program (addition):

Interested candidates must attend an advising session. No reservation needed. Before attending a ESL/ENL advising session, read the ESL/ENL License program information. Allow approximately 90 minutes for the session.
