We would like to offer an opportunity for students and parents to come together with the financial aid professionals of our office to discuss how they can afford to go to college. Our “Financing Your Future” mini-conference is free and open to all college-bound students and parents regardless of where they plan to attend. The event will cover several financial aid themes, some of which are listed below:
In addition to our staff, there will also be professionals available to answer questions.
"Financing Your Future" mini-conference will be presented in the IU Southeast Conference Center (University Center North) on Tuesday, October 21st from 6 to 8:30pm. Our goal is to help families prepare for the future. For additional information or to RSVP, call 812-941-2246, or send an email to email@example.com. While RSVP is not required, it is appreciated.
Sponsored by College Goal Sunday.org and presented by the IU Southeast Financial Aid office with other financial aid professionals from area schools and businesses.
College Goal Sunday is a program that helps college-bound students who qualify for undergraduate admission to a college or technical school in the upcoming year and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). College Goal Sunday provides on-site help from financial aid experts. Most colleges, universities and vocational/technical schools in the nation require students seeking federal financial aid, including grants and loans, to complete the FAFSA. The College Goal Sunday event will help all college-bound students complete the FAFSA properly.
Indiana residents: Your FAFSA form must be received by the federal processor on or before March 10. Twenty-first Century Scholars must complete and submit a FAFSA form to claim their Twenty-first Century Scholarships.
Students 23 years of age or younger should attend with their parent(s) or guardian(s) and bring their parents’ completed 2014 IRS 1040 tax return, W-2 form or other 2014 income, asset and benefits information. Students who worked last year should also bring their earnings information. Older students may attend alone and bring their own income information. Please apply for your Federal PIN at www.pin.ed.gov before coming to the event.
During the week following College Goal Sunday, the IU Southeast Office of Financial Aid Office is available to provide one-on-one assistance to current IU Southeast students by appointment.
