Debra Clem has taught fine arts at the college level for more than twenty years. Since coming to IU Southeast in the fall of 1995, Debra has shown her work in more than twenty-five exhibitions, including seven solo shows. Debra also maintains the Painting Guide, an online painting manual for her students. She is a member of FACET (Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching) and is an active visual artist whose works have been exhibited on a local, regional, and national level. She has been awarded several individual artist grants from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, as well as fellowships to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Vermont Studio Center. Debra is a national affiliate member of the SOHO20 Gallery in New York.
