Drawing at IU Southeast focuses on a wide variety of approaches to drawing that range from traditional observation to conceptually driven image making. Life drawing is also an important component of the drawing curriculum. At IU Southeast, drawing is considered one of the most vital and important skills for student artists to develop. The traditional drawing media used in our program include pencil, charcoal, pastel, and collage. Students also explore mixed media that may incorporate the techniques and processes of other fine arts disciplines.
