The School of Natural Sciences at IU Southeast seeks applicants for a Visiting Lecturer position in Geosciences beginning August, 2013.
Minimum requirement is a Master's degree in Geography or Geology. Applicants with Ph.D. degrees are encouraged to apply. Minimum of three years teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required.
Responsibilities include a teaching load of 12 credit hours/semester selected from introductory courses in Physical Geography and Physical Geography Laboratory, World Regional Geography, and General Geology. Additionally, the lecturer would be expected to teach an occasional advanced course (within the 12 credit hours) in their specialty, selected from, but not limited to: Hydrogeology, Environmental Geoscience, and Geographic Information Science (GIS). Service to the university is also required.
