Classroom Technology

For AV training or tech support please contact our office at 941-2257. We can also schedule one-on-one training in the use of our classroom AV technology. To see what is permanently installed in your room--and view that room's operating instructions--simply visit our Classrooms with Permanent AV page.

Office hours:

In session: M-Thr 8-8, F 8-5, Sat 9-1
Out of session: M-F 8-5, Sat & Sun Closed

IT requires 48 hours advance notice to fulfill equipment requests. Equipment availability is first-come, first-served.

Classroom equipment may be requested only by faculty, even if the equipment will be used by a student in class. University staff may also request equipment from the classroom pool for meetings and events; however, the primary purpose of the AV equipment pool is to support classrooms. As such, classroom requests take precedence.

Most IT equipment is for on-campus use only, it is not insured for off-campus use. Faculty may reserve some portable equipment from ILTE that is insured while off campus.

We do have a very limited number of items that can be taken off campus, if a liability statement is signed. These items will need to be checked out and picked up at the IT Help Desk, US 212.

  • 2 laptops
  • 2 LCD projectors
  • overhead projectors
  • screens
  • 2 digital cameras

Please do not take AV equipment from any room or hallway without permission. You will be robbing your colleagues of equipment they have requested.

AV Requests and Reservations

Every classroom with permanently installed AV equipment has instructions. These instructions are printed and posted in the classroom. However, should you wish to print and keep a copy for yourself, we've provided a simple solution.

For instructors needing specific software installed on a classroom computer please contact the IT Help Desk at 941-2447 at least two weeks in advance.

Adaptive Technology

Access to technology is critically important for people with disabilities to succeed in work, in school and in community activities. The Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) at the Indiana University Southeast Library strengthens our community with the powerful idea of access for all, and will allow everyone in the Southern Indiana community to access a world of information in one of the region's newest and most high-tech libraries.
