Windows 7
Microsoft Windows 7 is now available as an upgrade. Computers must have Windows Vista or Windows XP currently installed to upgrade to Windows 7. There are two versions available; 32 bit and 64 bit. Computer owners must know which version they need before purchasing Windows 7.

Lynda.com
IU Southeast students, faculty and staff have access to free software tutorial videos through Lynda.com for a limited time. Go to IUware, click on the Lynda.com link and enter your IU Southeast username and passphrase.
Software Deals
IU has negotiated substantial discounts with many software vendors. These discounts are available for Students, Faculty, and Staff and are for the full product, not a special "light" version with some features disabled. An example of what is available is the Microsoft agreement that makes most Microsoft products available for $5.00 per CD. If a Microsoft product is sold on 3 CDs it only will cost $15.00 plus sales tax. What you don't get at this price are manuals and free phone support from the maker of the software.
Want to purchase the newest version of your favorite software but don't want to pay retail price? Now students, faculty and staff can purchase the latest software packages at incredible discounts.
To purchase the following software, visit the IU Southeast Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the University Center to purchase your copy. Your U Card and a current schedule with your name on it will be required. This offer applies exclusively to university students, faculty and staff for personal use.

Students, staff and faculty may be eligible for discounts on software not available through the IU Southeast Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Check with the Bookstore about software available by order through IU Bloomington.
To buy software, you must bring your U Card and a current class schedule with your name.
This software is available on DVD only, the user must have a DVD drive in order to install them.
Software Purchase Requirements:
Students may purchase discounted software only if they are currently taking classes for credit. Any current IU Southeast employee is also eligible for the discount. To purchase software through the campus Barnes & Noble Bookstore, students must bring their U Card and provide a current class schedule printed with their name. Employees must bring their U Card and a current check stub. All purchasers must also sign a Software License Agreement at the time of purchase.
Software cannot be returned, so be sure you can use it before you buy it. Note: To take advantage of the special pricing available to IU students, faculty, and staff, you must authenticate with your Network ID. IU and Sony have reached an agreement that allows IU students, faculty, and staff to receive a 10% discount on personal (not departmental) purchases of Sony consumer products.

Used Computers
The IT Department now sells used desktop computers through the bookstore at discounted prices. Proceeds from the sale go directly into on-campus technology. For more information, visit the IU Southeast Bookstore in UC 007 or call them at 941-2250.

There are currently no computers available for purchase. IT expects the next computer sale to begin in July 2012.

As computers are retired they will be sold through the bookstore, starting the first day of the sale.
Rules and Regulations that must be followed
- The computers are sold as-is. These are used machines and may have minor scratches and dents.
- The sale is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
- All computing equipment is sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- No equipment can be held back nor carry any prearrangement to its purchase.
- No support is offered.
- No returns or refunds
- Only the original operating system is installed.
- No delivery, installation, or other service is connected or offered with this purchase.
- Up to five desktops can be purchased per visit; Laptops are sold one per visit.
- Prices are non-negotiable. A 7% sales tax will be charged.
- Purchase of this computer does not imply eligibility to purchase discounted software at Barnes & Noble Campus Bookstore.
- Equipment may not be purchased for resale.
