Bills are transferred to the Bursar's Office for collection. Indiana residents who are billed for unreturned materials will have borrowing privileges discontinued until materials are returned and fines are paid. Metroversity users who are billed for unreturned materials will have borrowing privileges discontinued at all Metroversity institutions until materials are returned and fines paid. Credits will not be issued for materials returned more than 12 months after the bill has been transferred to the Bursar's Office.

Any patron who believes that s/he has been billed in error may file a written appeal. Such appeals must be submitted within 90 calendar days following the due date of the borrowed materials. Some examples of reasons which are not considered legitimate objections are: ignorance of library policy, non-receipt of library notices, loaned material to someone else who failed to return it, forgot the due date.
