Ereserves FAQ

  1. I click on the e-reserves link, but am unable to connect to the website.

If you cannot reach the e-reserves website, you may be encountering a firewall established by your Internet provider. Contact your ISP technical support staff for assistance. (Often workplaces will have firewalls installed. Try to access from home or while on campus.)
  2. How do I find the electronic reserve materials for my course?

Once you've connected to the ERes System, click on the "Electronic Reserves and Course Materials" link.

Select the instructor from the "Select an instructor" drop down menu. Click on the "Go" button.

Click on the appropriate course number link.

Enter the course password provided to you by your instructor. Click on the "Accept" button.
  3. I don't remember the password needed to access the electronic reserves for my class.

Electronic reserve materials are restricted to students currently enrolled in a specific course. Instructors have been given the password(s) for their course(s). Library personnel will not supply a password to anyone but the listed instructor for a specific course.
  4. My computer won't open the document I selected.

The electronic reserve system uses Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the document. If you have problems opening a document, check to see if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.x. If you have an older version, download the free software from the Adobe website.

If you need more assistance, please contact Gabrielle Carr, Coordinator of Access Services.
