In order to major in Music at IU Southeast, you must:
- Apply for admission to IU Southeast
- Complete a Music Department Audition Application
- Schedule and audition time
- Perform an audition
- Complete the Music Theory Placement Exam
Auditions
Admission to the Music Department is by audition only. An audition/interview is required of all students wishing to pursue the Bachelor of Arts in Music degree.

*The May and August audition dates are for admission only. Those interested in scholarship consideration should audition by March 13.

OPEN HOUSE
MAP YOUR COURSE TO IU SOUTHEAST!
On Saturday, March 13, Indiana University Southeast will hold a Map Your Course to IU Southeast Open House from 9:00 a.m. to Noon starting in the University Center (see campus map). Students can learn and ask questions about Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Services, Academics, Campus Life, and Housing. Financial aid workshops and campus tours will be offered.
At 11:00 a.m., various departments on campus will host their own open house events.
VISIT THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT OPEN HOUSE starting at 11:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Ogle Center (see campus map) in front of the Recital Hall. Information and tours of Music Department facilities will be available. Starting at 11:30 a.m., Music Department faculty and staff will be on hand to meet with students, discuss our program, and answer any questions.
