Students must be age 13-18 in order to be admitted to the IU Southeast Summer String Clinic.

Applications can be submitted online by entering the information below, or by downloading,

• PRIVATE LESSONS

Students have the option of taking one ½-hour private lesson with a member of the String Clinic faculty during the week. Lessons will be scheduled before noon on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Students should bring pieces they are currently learning with them to the lesson. There is an additional fee of $21 for the private lesson.

Participants in the IU Southeast Summer String Clinic will receive a complimentary t-shirt. Please indicate shirt size desired:

• MEALS
Meals are not provided. Snacks will be provided during breaks. Students may bring their own snacks, but refrigerated spaces will not be provided.
 
• TUITION, FEES, and REFUNDS

COMPLETE CLINIC (Noon-5:30pm)
Regular tuition for the Complete Clinic is $275.00 plus a non-refundable registration fee of $20 for an individual student or $30 for two or more students from the same family. Registration deadline is June 26 at 4:30pm. Registrations after 4:30pm on June 26 may or may not be accepted, at the discretion of the clinic director and the IU Southeast Arts Institute. Registrations received after 4:30pm on June 26 that are accepted will be assessed an additional $50 fee. In the event the student is not accepted to the IU Southeast Summer String Clinic, a full refund will be issued. In the event the IU Southeast Summer String Clinic is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be issued. If, after registering, a student withdraws from the clinic, a full refund (minus registration fee) will be issued if the Arts Institute is notified of the withdraw by June 26 at 4:30pm. Students will receive a 50% refund of the tuition if they withdraw after 4:30pm on June 26 and before June 29. No refunds will be issued on or after June 29.

BREVE CLINIC (3:00pm-5:30pm)
Regular tuition for the Breve Clinic is $100.00 plus a non-refundable registration fee of $20 for an individual student or $30 for two or more students from the same family. Registration deadline is June 26 at 4:30pm. Registrations after 4:30pm on June 26 may or may not be accepted, at the discretion of the clinic director and the IU Southeast Arts Institute. Registrations received after 4:30pm on June 26 that are accepted will be assessed an additional $50 fee. In the event the student is not accepted to the IU Southeast Summer String Clinic, a full refund will be issued. In the event the IU Southeast Summer String Clinic is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be issued. • PAYMENT

Payment may be made by cash, check, money order or credit card. Credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) may be made online via Indiana University's Office of Conference and Event Registration Services, or OCERS (accessible via the String Clinic web site at www.ius.edu/music/ssc, click on "Make a Payment").

Half-payment Option: Participants in the Complete Clinic (Noon-5:30pm) may elect to pay one-half of the tuition with this application, with the balance of the tuition being due by the first day of the clinic. Those participating in the Breve Clinic (3:00pm-5:30pm) must pay the entire tuition and registration fee with the application. Those applying after June 29 must include full amount due with their application.
