Start your experience off right

If you’re preparing to come to Indiana University Southeast, get a head start on your college career by attending our new student programs. Whether you’re a first-time college student or transferring to IU Southeast from another campus, there’s a program designed to help you feel more at home and succeed.

Each of our new student programs have been created with you in mind. We cover info on advising and class registration, financial aid, campus resources, and other topics to make sure you're ready for success on day one. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff, student leaders, and other new students who are in your shoes.

First steps for enrollment

Wondering what to do first as a new IU Southeast student? We've provided a list of enrollment steps to assist you with getting started and registering for classes. The guide includes items such as paying tuition, setting up your IU account, enrolling in classes, and more.

Admitted Student Series

Once you are admitted to IU Southeast, you can attend sessions from the Admitted Student Series. This series provides you with the information you need to begin your journey as a college student at IU Southeast.

Available based on your start term

Orientation

At orientation, you can meet with faculty and advisors and ask questions, as well as connect with other students and find academic resources such as the Writing Center, the Math Resource Lab, and the Student Success Center.

Occurs the Friday before fall classes

Induction Day

Attending Induction Day will allow you to meet other new students. This ceremony is meant to welcome you into the IU system as well as the IU Southeast campus.

Occurs the first week of fall classes

Week of Welcome

We call the first week of fall classes the Week of Welcome. Different events each day give you the chance to meet student groups and organizations, make new friends, and explore the campus.
