Dr. Gerald Ruth

The Poetry of Science

The Poetry of Science

Who knew that scientists not only like poetry, but can actually write it? Dr. Gerald Ruth, Professor of Geosciences and Director of the IU Southeast Observatory, has written a book of open-form poetry about, you guessed it, science. His poems range in topic from Edwin Hubble to the Great Lakes and each poem is a quick lesson in the geosciences. “Earth VERSES Space” will be available in the IU Southeast bookstore later this year.

Dr. Ruth is one of the many interesting and talented professors that you will learn from at IU Southeast.
