The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) serves the IU Southeast campus by acting as a resource for data, research, and the assessment process.

We provide raw data, summaries, and reports about the institution to members of the campus community. These data provide the basis for planning and decision making by the administration, faculty, and staff at IU Southeast.

We also routinely provide data to students for class projects, papers, and articles. Please take some time to evaluate the reports and tools provided on this website. We may have the data you need already available. If not, please complete a data request and we will work with you to meet your needs.

The facilitation of institutional, general education, and academic program assessment is also a primary responsibility of OIRA. The results of some of those assessments are available on this site in the Reports & Surveys pages. Many tools to assist with assessment are also available on the Assessment Resources page.

If you need additional assistance with assessment, please contact our office.

Assessment Update

Attention Program Coordinators:

Fall 2011 Programmatic Assessment Reports were due on Friday, November 25. As of Monday, November 28, we have received 11 of 34 programmatic assessment reports (32.4%), with 6 programs permitted extensions. If your program requires an extension, please contact Ron Severtis.

All programs on annual and biennial programmatic assessment cycles have full reports due this year; triennial programs must submit an update this year.

Please check out our resources page. It can provide you with information on curriculum mapping (how to do it and how it can aid your program).

Are you a new coordinator? Or are you planning on stepping down as coordinator within the next year? Download the Guidelines for Assessment Program Coordinators. It's is a useful tool for all new coordinators.
