Your appointment will begin with you and your counselor talking about your concerns. The counselor needs to get to know you, and you are invited to ask any questions you may have. As the dialogue progresses, the counselor will attempt to identify your needs and difficulties. The methods used will depend on your needs. The counselor's approach will be that of helping you help yourself. Hopefully, counseling will enable you to better utilize the resources you possess for coping with life's problems. The methods used will depend on your needs.

In summary, counseling consists of exchanging ideas - relating and listening in the part of both students and counselor.

It is not necessary for you to be referred to us. If you wish to be seen, feel free to call (812) 941-2244, Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
