Counselor Obligations

Any disclosure by anyone that they are having suicidal thoughts, or have a plan to kill themselves, or have the intent of killing themselves places all of us under obligation to report this to a trained professional, the Campus Police and/or to a responsible family member of the distressed person. Any disclosure by anyone that they are abusing a child must be reported by law to Child Protective Services in the county where the child resides. Any disclosure by anyone that they plan to kill someone must be reported to the Police.
