Indiana University Southeast has been providing advanced learning opportunities to elementary school students in Southern Indiana and metro Louisville through Project AHEAD® since 1986. The enrichment program is designed for gifted and talented children in grades 2 through 6, and is offered for two terms each year: winter and fall. The curriculum is designed for children in the top 20 percent of their class who are able to work in an independent learning environment.
Project AHEAD® aims to create an atmosphere that encourages questions, creativity, and continuous engagement. In each session children benefit from attending an exceptional range of courses led by top-notch instructors. The wide range of course topics stimulates minds and encourages advanced learning beyond the classroom. Classroom numbers are kept small - a maximum of 15 students - to enhance advanced learning in a fast-paced environment. Spaces fill quickly.
