Program Overview

The major in psychology requires 30 hours of coursework. Required courses include Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and a Methods course. The wide variety of psychology courses offered at IU Southeast give students the opportunity to concentrate their interests in clinical, counseling, developmental psychology, psychology in the workplace, social psychology, behavioral neuroscience, neuropsychology and experimental psychology.

In addition, courses in mathematics and biology are recommended, but not mandatory. No minor is required, but psychology majors are encouraged to take courses in related fields, such as anthropology, sociology, criminology, philosophy and communications.
