IU Southeast Students Steal the Show at Model U.N. Conference for College Students in Indianapolis
For years, IU Southeast students have been participating in a Model U.N. event specifically for college students (the Indiana Consortium for International Programs Model U.N). This year, the event was held on November 10 to 12 at the University of Indianapolis and 12 of our students participated.
Dean Cliff Staten (Social Sciences) is the advisor for the Model U.N. program. He said our students did exceptionally well this year. In fact, all 12 participating IU Southeast students received awards at the event. Award winners were:
- Best Delegate Award: Brad Hersman (Russia)
- Best Delegation Award: Andy Owen and Annii Frazer (U.S.)
- Best Delegation Award: Angela Beaver and Corey Beaver (France)
- Best Delegation Award: Brad Hersman and Sarah Morgan (Russia)
- Best Delegate Runner-up Award: Chanelle Helm (Ghana)
- Best Delegate Runner-up Award: Andy Owen (U.S.)
- Best Delegate Runner-up Award: Angela Beaver (France)
- Best Delegation Runner-up Award: Carol Belcher and Chanelle Helm (Ghana)
- Best Delegation Runner-up Award: John Cronin and Lonnie Robinson (Japan)
- Best Delegation Runner-up Award: Carolyn Morgan and Marc Beatty (Denmark)
