ACT Testing The ACT Assessment is designed to assess the general educational development of high school students and their ability to complete college-level work. The tests cover four areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. IU Southeast hosts the ACT Assessment on the dates printed below. On other dates the ACT Residual examination may be scheduled by special arrangement with the IU Southeast Admissions Department. There is an additional fee for the ACT Residual.
