Mathematics Placement Test New students at IU Southeast will complete the Internet-based ACT COMPASS Mathematics Test as a part of the placement testing process. The multiple-choice math test is untimed. The results of this test are valid for two years from the date of testing. If you would like help with specific math questions or problems, visit the IU Southeast Math Lab website. The Mathematics Resource Laboratory can give you some links to quick math help. You may view some sample problems typical of the kind you will encounter on the test by clicking the sample math problems link below. You may use your own calculator on the test, or you may use the calculator in the COMPASS test. Scratch paper is provided. Frequently Asked Math Test Questions from Students
