College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for your comprehensive subject knowledge acquired through independent or prior study, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits, or internships.

Click here for more information about CLEP tests.

Test Fees and Procedures

CLEP exams are $70 per test payable on-line by credit card, or by check or money order. Optional CLEP essays are scored locally and require an additional $10 fee. Please call the Student Development Center at (812) 941-2312 to register for a test appointment.

Score Reports

Candidates receive immediate test results at the end of the testing session. Score reports can be generated for anyone who has tested within the last 30 days.

Retesting Policy
If you do not receive a passing score, you may take the test again after 180 days. Please do not attempt to take the test before 180 days have passed, because your test will be invalid, and any fees you pay will not be refunded.

Click here for a date calculator to help you determine when you can retake a test.
