Admissions
There are no prerequisites for IUS students to gain admission into the School of Social Sciences. As soon as you are ready to declare a particular major in the School of Social Sciences, you should immediately have your advisor in the Academic Success Center (formerly called University Division) send your file to our office in Crestview 140 in care of Ms. Mary Ann Braden. If you are transferring from either the School of Business, Education, Arts and Letters, Nursing or Natural Sciences; you need to have that office send your file to Ms. Mary Ann Braden in the School of Social Sciences.

Master of Liberal Studies (MLS)
For regular admission, students must have completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B). Applications are accepted anytime, but to assure enrollment, students should apply by July 15 for the fall semester and by November 15 for the spring. Applications may be obtained through the Master in Liberal Studies office at Crestview Hall 018B or by calling (812) 941-2604 or (812) 941-2393.
