Congratulations to Annii Frazer (Political Science) who received the Outstanding Abstract Award at the 2006 Indiana University Southeast Undergraduate Research Conference. Her paper was entitled No Turning Back: Protestant Disillusionment and Parade Violence in Northern Ireland. Congratulations to Catie Wheatley (Political Science) who received the School of Social Sciences Outstanding Paper Award at the 2006 Indiana University Southeast Undergraduate Research Conference. Her paper was entitled Euskadi Ta Askatasuna: A Case Study of Nationalism. Congratulations to Jan McDowell (Psychology) who received an Outstanding Paper Award at the 2006 Indiana University Southeast Undergraduate Research Conference. Her paper was entitled Shyness and the Internet. Congratulations to Kelley Stafford Salvo (Psychology) who received an Outstanding Paper Award at the 2006 Indiana University Southeast Undergraduate Research Conference. Her paper was entitled Factors That Influence Sleep Deprivation Among College Students. Carole Brooks, Michael Chanley, Rebekah Dement, and Nona Capps (History) presented at IUS Student Research Conference 2006. Melissa Wheatley (Psychology) presented her paper (co-authored with Professor Diane Wille and fellow student Shana Weddle (Psychology)) "A Longitudinal Look at Parental Stress of Mothers and Fathers as Children Mature from 8 to 14 Years of Age" at the Annual Conference on Human Development in Louisville, Kentucky in April of 2006. Melissa Wheatley (Psychology) presented her paper (co-authored with Professor Diane Wille) "A Longitudinal Study Evaluating Parental Stress of Mothers and Fathers as Children Mature from 8 to 14 Years of Age" at the Midwestern Psychological Association Meeting in Chicago, Illinois in May of 2006. Shana Weddle (Psychology) presented her paper "The Impact of Spirituality, Religiousity, and Perceptions of Belief on Marital Satisfaction" at the Psi Chi Midwestern Psychological Conference in Chicago, Illinois, in May of 2006. Melissa Wheatley (Psychology) presented her paper [co-authored with Professor Diane Wille and fellow student Shana Weddle (Psychology)] at the American Psychological Association Meeting in New Orleans, Lousiana, in August of 2006. Bethany Craig (Psychology) presented her paper, The continuity of the HOME at 6-months, 18-months, and 14-years (co-authored with Professor Diane Wille) at the annual meeting of the Indiana Academy of the Social Sciences in Gary, Indiana in October 2006. Christy Ciufo (Psychology) presented her paper, Changing relations and interactions during the adolescent years, (co-authored with Professor Diane Wille) at the annual meeting of the Indiana Academy of the Social Sciences in Gary, Indiana in October 2006. Sanya Bowen, Brandon Tomes and Gary White (Sociology) along with Sam Sloss presented a paper, "Public Attitudes and Congressional Votes" at the IUS SARC in February 2007. Marty K. Varble (Political Science) will present her paper, Community Power: How Louisville Saved the Driver of Its Economy at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research in San Rafael, CA, in April 2007. Laurie McTighe (Psychology) will present her paper Examining the continuity of family environment (co-authored with Professor Diane Wille) at the Midwest Psychological Association Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois in May 2007.
