OLD BUSINESS
Silent Auction Report
Mary Ann Wild reported that we had a gross of $1938.00 for the Silent Auction with expenses of $49.98 reported thus far. We have not received the bill from Conference and Catering for the coffee and cider. The cost for those items should be about $100. Thank you to all who worked so hard. A question was raised as to how the Silent Auction proceeds compared to the proceeds from the previous fundraiser Style Shows. The Silent Auction proceeds were greater by several hundred dollars.
Staff Holiday Assistance
Diane Fuchs reported that one person had approached the Staff Council for assistance through a third person and forms were forwarded to that person. Forms were not returned. Several others were mentioned as possible candidates for assistance and the announcement will be resent on email with forms attached.
Stephanie Wolf suggested that we could use food that they did not use for Thanksgiving baskets if we chose for a deserving person. Leslie Turner offered to purchase additional food to add to the above mentioned food and deliver it. Thanks to Leslie.
Holiday Treats
Regina McCarty will be in charge of holiday bags to be given to each staff member. She has purchased ingredients to fill the bags and the bags. The bags will be assembled and distributed by Staff Council members.
Honorarium Committee
Diane Fuchs volunteered to be on the committee. Others who volunteered were Mary Ann Braden, Cari Edwards, and Diana Holman. The committee will meet and report at the next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Other Opportunities for Holiday Giving
Cari Edwards announced that she has taken over the Maryhurst Slipper Drive that had been previously headed by Kathy Corbean. Maryhurst is a facility for girls from ages 10-18. About 80 pairs of slippers are needed (adult sizes small, medium and large).
Mary Ann Braden announced that Interfaith Community Council is sponsoring two programs. The first is called Adopt-a-Child and the second is Operation Santa Claus. Anyone interested in participating should call Interfaith Community Council or speak to Mary Ann.
Blue Ribbon Committee on Salaries
Regina McCarty reported that she has attended meetings of the Blue Ribbon Committee on Salaries as a staff representative and that the purpose, goals and principles of the committee have been covered thus far.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned
Respectfully submitted,
Lesley Deal, Secretary
