STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS
Election Committee-Alice Watson
With the loss of Connie Hodge and the 1 position that was never filled, we are 2 Service Maintenance representatives short of a full complement. We would, therefore like to elect 4 Service Maintenance representatives this year instead of letting two positions go vacant for another year. It was the consensus of the Staff Council to elect 4 Service Maintenance positions (rather than 2) in the coming election. 1 CL/TE position will also be elected. Survey Monkey will be used to conduct the election.
CORRESPONDENCE
Connie Hodge sent a letter notifying the Staff Council that she is no longer with the university. She noted that she enjoyed the brief time she spent as an SC representative.
Rhonda Embry, Debbie Naville, Carol Knauer, Debbie Voyles, Angie Clark, and Diana Holman sent messages of thanks for the SC Spring Gift tote bags.
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Ice Cream Social – Alice Watson
Do we want to have an ice cream social this year as a summer treat? It was the consensus of the SC that we will again offer this treat. A date and time will be set and announced at the next meeting.
Fall Festival – Alice Watson
A suggestion was made that we participate in the Fall Festival with a “sweets” booth. Lesley Deal will check with Donna Harvey to see if we can get information if that will be possible and if there is a booth fee.
Announcements:
The winner for reading the minutes and registering during the month of March is Mary Sacasas.
With no further business or announcements, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Lesley Deal, Secretary
IU Southeast Staff Council
