OLD BUSINESS
Ice Cream Social – Alice Watson
All arrangements are in place for the June 23rd Ice Cream Social. Alice asked members to bring treats to share with the ice cream. Vanilla and chocolate ice cream will be served with chocolate, strawberry and caramel syrup, sprinkles, crushed Oreos, cherries, crushed nuts and whipped cream. Everyone is invited to come and make a sundae of your choice. Ice water will also be available.
Fall Festival-Alice Watson
The matter of what to serve was addressed. Would we make enough of a profit on small pre-packaged items? Ice Cream novelties and Krispy Crème Donuts were suggested as well as small candy treats. The Campus Activities office uses Graeters to supply the ice cream cups that are given to students. Perhaps we could check with someone in that department for pricing and available products. Members will check on prices of treats that we could get in bulk and how much profit we would make and report at the next meeting. The festival is October 3rd. Lesley will check with Donna Harvey to see if there is a price range that we should stick to or of we can choose what prices to sell products. A shelter and table would also be needed. Steven noted that we might want to have a cold/warm weather option that could be decided a few days before the festival when we are more sure what the weather will be.
