A Style Show update was not available.  All receipts are in the process of being gathered.  An accounting of this event has been tabled until the next Staff Council meeting.

 

Discussed the "open" technical staff representation on Staff Council.  Janie Loney asked that this item be tabled until the Staff Council election in August.

 

Discussed alternate means of fund raising for Staff Council.  Ideas discussed:

• Campus Wide Garage Sale
• Holiday Tea
• Utilizing the Services of Swans – Trudy Walter volunteered to gather information.

 

Discussed forming an "Election Committee" at the next Staff Council meeting.

 

A Staff Ice Cream Social will be held on June 23, 2005 from 1:30 to 3:00 a.m.  Trudy Walter has volunteered to Chair this event.  Location to de determined.  Staff are welcome to volunteer to work this event.  There will be half an hour shifts consisting of two people.  Contact Trudy Walter if interested in helping with this event.

 

We have been contacted by IU Bloomington regarding the usage of their tax I.D. number.  Apparently, this procedure is no longer permissible.  All of Staff Council's checking and savings accounts must be closed by May 25^th, 2005 and then reopened under our own tax I.D. number.  Discussions regarding procedure, etc. are ongoing with IU Bloomington.

 

A Campus-Wide Solicitation Policy is forthcoming.  Due to concerns regarding the Staff Council Style Show, Jenna Copple has been asked (and confirmed) to attend the next Staff Council Meeting.
