Mary Ann Wild reported that $50.00 was paid for Relay for
Life. A thank you has been received for this contribution.
Discussed holiday staff financial assistance provided by
Staff Council. The recipients have all expressed their appreciation.
Mary Ann Wild has e-mailed to everyone a copy of the final
accounting for the 2006 Staff Council Silent Auction. The net profit for the
event was $1,493.00.
Steven Clark reported that he received three applicants for
the Spring 2007 Staff Council Scholarship Award. The $150.00 scholarship was
awarded to Connie Schnieders. The $50.00 Book Honorarium was awarded to Denise
Townsend. Steven reported that Nola Schweitzer also applied for the award.
Discussions followed. Charlotte Dubois made a motion to make a special
exception to policy and award $50.00 to Nola Schweitzer. The motion was
seconded by Kim Draughn. Motion passed unanimously. Congrats to all the
winners!
Steve Clark reported that due to work conflicts, he has been
unable to attend the Executive Meeting and C-Bag meetings. Updates are
unavailable.
Discussed the scheduling of the Staff Council Silent Auction
for November, 2007. Will check with Donna Harvey to determine if there is a
date conflict with the Chancellor's Medallion Dinner.
Discussed distributing a "treat" to all clerical,
service maintenance and technical employees. Last year, Staff Council
distributed the treat on Valentine's Day. Suggestion was made to consider
distributing a "treat" on St. Patrick's Day. Further discussions
will be held at the next Staff Council Meeting.
Steven Clark apologized for not sending out last month's
meeting minutes. He will send out both meeting minutes this month.
