STAFF COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

12/04/07 - 10:00 A.M. - LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM #230

 

Attending:  Mary Ann Braden, Angie Clark, Lesley Deal, Kim Draughn, Charlotte Dubois,  Cari Edwards, Angela Farnsley, Diane Fuchs, Linda Haskins, Diana Holman, Ethel King,  Regina McCarty, Sandy McShane (for Cynthia Stevenson), Stephen Miller, Kathleen Norvell (for Kim Wells), Connie Schnieders, Loretta Seals, Lisa Stark, Leslie Turner, Alice Watson, and Mary Ann Wild

 

Excused Absence:  Debra Voyles

 

Unexcused Absence:  None

 

President Diane Fuchs opened the meeting.  Mary Ann Wild provided the Treasurer’s Report.   Due to the meeting being held earlier in the month than usual, no monthly statements have yet been received and therefore no changes were posted.  See detail below.

 

 

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

Honorarium Committee Update

Three applications have been received to date.  The committee will meet and make decisions so that the awards can be made in January.

 

 

Holiday Assistance Update

 

We have received 3 requests for assistance.  After discussion a motion was made and seconded (Kathleen Norvell, Stephen Miller) to award the three requests with either a gift card or Master Card according to need.   The motion passed unanimously.  The total amount awarded was $600.00. 

 

Holiday Treats

Regina McCarty brought bags and supplies needed to fill Holiday Treat bags for each staff person.  Members of the Council helped fill the bags and delivered them after the meeting.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

None

 

Announcements:

 

Bring your items for the Sunshine Basket for Kim Wells and give them to Mary Ann Wild.  Mary Ann will soon be delivering the basket to Kim.

 

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to enjoy finger food treats, punch and hot spiced tea.  Happy Holidays!
