Mary Ann Wild provided the Treasurer’s Report.  See detail above.

 

Charlotte Dubois reported that the Staff Giveaway will be forthcoming.  The items are in the process of being assembled.  We would ask that one staff member from each building volunteer to distribute the giveaway. 

 

Discussed increased gas prices.  The group explored several options for saving on gas costs:  carpooling; four day work week; bus routes/rides; discounts available for new car purchases.  Steven Clark will be distributing an e-mail exploring the options discussed above.  Discussions were also held regarding emergency options if you carpooled and did not have a car available.  Steven volunteered to check with the Physical Plant and Police Department to discuss emergency options with them. 

 

Discussed the scheduling of an Ice Cream Social.  The group agreed to move the event to August.  A tentative date of Wednesday, August 22, 2007 has been identified.  Discussed having the event in the breezeway outside of the Administrative Offices.  Diane Fuchs volunteered to meet with Vickie Hartman to discuss details.

 

Discussed upcoming Staff Council elections.  Nominations will be sourced in July, elections in August followed by new officers/members in September. 

 

Trudy Walter reported that the Relay for Life was a huge success.  $1,610.00 was raised.  A big thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this event a success.

 

Please note that all the remaining Staff Council Meetings have been rescheduled to meet in the Library Building – Room #230.

 

NEXT STAFF COUNCIL MEETING:    July 17 - 10:00 a.m. – Library Building – Room #230.  (our June meeting has been canceled)
