Indiana University Southeast

What's New?

The renovation of the University Center buildings is the largest renovation project in the history of IU Southeast.

The project is expected to cost about $7 million and was funded by a $21 million bond issue that was approved by the Indiana State Legislature in 2003. Part of the $21 million was earmarked for the new IU Southeast Library, which opened in January, 2005.

After the Library vacated its old location in University Center, a tremendous amount of space was freed-up for renovation. After careful analysis and feedback from the campus community, plans were drawn up for a "new" University Center.

The primary focus of the renovation is to improve student space, choices, and services. This extensive renovation of University Center is expected to be completed by summer, 2008.
