Dr. Fry is a sociologist interested in using the tools of the trade to build strong and vibrant communities. Before coming to IU Southeast she taught at Auburn University and worked as a policy researcher at the Mountain Association for Community Economic Development in Berea, KY. As an applied researcher, Dr. Fry has done projects on a wide range of social and economic issues ranging from childcare and community based services to the economic impacts of coal mining in Kentucky. Her areas of specialization are social inequality, organizations and public policy.
