Dr. Taylor's major interest is the evolution of flowering plants. He coedited the book Flowering Plant Origin, Evolution & Phylogeny. His has led field work in USA, England, Germany, Jordan, and China. As of 2012, he has thirty-six publications mostly in prestigious science journals including Science, PNAS, Amer. J. of Botany, Bot. J. of the Linnean Soc., Internat. J. of Plant Sci. He has won awards in teaching and research (Distinguished Research Award, Distinguished Teaching Award, and membership in IU FACET). His work has been covered by the NY Times, Discover and National Geographic.
