- Do you give interviews to individual students?
Because our staff makes sixty-five presentations a year about the Writing Help Centers to the First Year Seminar classes, we are unable to grant requests for individual interviews.
- Will you read more than one paper by a student per visit?
We read one paper by a student per visit because we hope the student will learn from our interaction and apply what has been learned to future papers.
- Are there handouts available?
Eleven sets of clearly written handouts are available in the front of each Center; these same handouts are available on our website.
- Do you proofread students' papers?
We let students know if we find punctuation or spelling errors in their papers and explain to students how they can fix these mistakes, but we don't fix the mistakes for students as a commercial proofreading service would do.
