Metroversity Writing Competition

Deadline:  January 31, 2013

Categories: poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, academic writing, and an international category for undergraduate international students.

Prizes: In each category, monetary prizes will be awarded for first and second place and in two separate divisions - undergraduate and graduate.

Entry Information: You may submit one work in each category, except for poetry, which is up to three poems. Prose entries may not exceed 40 pages in length. Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony and a public reading in April.

Guidelines: The competition is open to any student registered during the academic year in one or more classes at a Metroversity institution. Entries must be unpublished, but they may be entered simultaneously in other competitions. Manuscripts must be typed, double spaced (poetry may be single spaced).
