If you are unable to come into the Writing Help Center, send essays via email. A Writing Help consultant will go over your paper, make suggestions, and return your essay. We will respond to email questions and papers attached to email seven days a week.

We help students who email their papers by making general suggestions in a letter and by making specific suggestions inside the paper crossing out some parts and [offering ideas in brackets].

email Instructions for Microsoft Outlook:

  1. Send to IUSwrite@ius.edu
  2. Using the insert function, attach file to email
  3. Select drive A, C, etc.
  4. Double click on file (Icon will appear in email message.)
  5. It will help us help you if you state the answer to these two questions in your email letter:
    1. What kind of help do you need with the attached paper?
    2. When do you need our response to the attached paper?
