Students may submit their papers through our e-mail for feedback. Students need to be specific as to what type of assistance they are looking for and when they need the feedback returned. This type of consultation is not as immediate as an in-person discussion, nor is it as extensive. The feedback through e-mail consists of comments in bubbles and links to handouts with suggestions on what issues the consultant is consistently seeing in the writing and possible ways to correct. Please note that the student’s paper will not be returned with all corrections made. Since we are not proofreaders, the suggestions will be there for the student to make the corrections for himself. This is a valuable service for students who need quick help on a specific issue but not recommended for a student who needs more extensive help with several issues.
E-mails are answered Monday through Friday but are not in real-time. Usually questions are answered within 24-48 hours of submission.
