Erin J. Carlisle, who graduated in May, 2012 with a B.A. in Music (Harp Performance), has been accepted to New York University in the Higher Education Student Affairs program and will begin her graduate studies in the fall 0f 2012 with an internship in NYU Residence Life and Housing Academic Development.

While at IU Southeast, Erin was co-founder and president of the Student United Way, Community Advisor for the on-campus lodges, vice-president of the Student Program Council, student representative of the Student Recruitment and Retention Committee, member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, and Greek Life intern for campus life.

Originally from Indianapolis, Erin began harp lessons in March of 2002, and received certification in practical musicianship, aural training and practice, and music performance, with distinction through the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. In 2006-2008, Erin served as Principal Harpist for the New World Youth Symphony Orchestra in Indianapolis. During this time, Erin performed locally with church orchestras and small music ensembles. Upon graduating high school, Erin began her study at Indiana University Southeast as a Harp Performance major where she served as principal harpist with the IU Southeast Orchestra, and performed regularly with the IU Southeast Concert Band and Concert Choir. In 2012, Erin was named Outstanding Music Students for Music.
