The Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling (MMHC) program is a 60-hour program that will provide you with the rigorous coursework and clinical experience required to become a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana.*
Currently, the program is initiating the accreditation process with the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), which will allow you to become licensed in other states that require this accreditation.
After graduating from the MMHC program, you will be able to work with clients of all ages and will be prepared to provide comprehensive counseling services in a variety of mental health counseling settings, including:
- Outpatient mental health centers
- Inpatient mental health and rehabilitation programs
- Substance-abuse treatment programs
The MMHC program will provide you with experiences that will allow you to offer culturally sensitive services that promote social justice.
In this small-cohort program, you will learn in a small-class setting and receive quality support and mentoring from experienced faculty.
