INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL AUDIO

Protools screenshotThis class is a hands-on study of computer hardware and current popular audio software. The course will touch on topics such as MIDI (Music Instrument Digital Interface), capturing audio, mixing, using virtual instruments, an overview of mastering, and digital audio and sound for the web. The course will cover professional software packages such as ProTools and GarageBand, as well as less advanced and user-friendly ("free") programs such as Audacity.
