Nurses are special people. They are there for people at the best and worst times of their lives, combining compassion with scientific problem solving to provide the best care. If this type of challenge is what you want for your career, consider a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from IU Southeast.
From simulations, to clinical practice, to field work in communities, our focus is not only helping you achieve your degree, but also preparing you to pass the National Council State Boards of Nursing National Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and become a registered nurse.
Our students graduate with jobs already in place, ready to help patients and families through any of their medical needs as practitioners and leaders in:
Additionally, our program provides a strong foundation for graduate study for nurses wanting to practice in specialized areas or pursue careers in nurse management or nursing education.
By pursuing a BSN and successfully passing the National Council State Boards of Nursing National Licensure Examination (NCLEX), you may have the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings. According to EMSi/Burning Glass Technologies, a labor market analytics company, licensed registered nurses are in high demand, drawing an average salary of $67,000 in the Louisville metropolitan area in 2020 with a projected increase in available positions of 7 percent by 2030.
