Biography

Dr. Finkel travels regularly to Sweden to collaborate with colleagues at Karolinksa Institutet in Stockholm. She is currently involved in a multinational project involving colleagues from California, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Scotland, Denmark, Finland, Australia, and Sweden.

Professional Interests

Teaching

Dr. Finkel teaches primarily in the Graduate Interdisciplinary Studies program - she teaches the introductory courses and other seminars, including Grant Writing, Methods of Survey Research, Teaching Workshop, and Evolutionary Psychology. When she is able to teach in the psychology program, Dr. Finkel teaches senior seminar, methods & statistics, and adult development & aging.

Applying the methods of behavior genetic analysis to investigations of cognitive aging and biological markers of the aging process Applying methods of longitudinal analysis to twin data to investigate genetic and environmental influences on longitudinal change.
