Hello. My name is Joseph Grant. I am a 24 year retired veteran of law enforcement—serving 14 years with the Jeffersonville City Police Department in Indiana and 10 years with the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) in Kentucky. For the last eight years of my career, I served in LMPD's training unit as the primary instructor in diversity, ethics, interpersonal communication, and defensive tactics. I am lifelong resident of Southern Indiana and consider Louisville part of my community.  Using my professional and academic experience my primary mission in life is to continue to nurture a plumbline of social responsibility, compassion, and justice in my students and in the Kentuckiana community.
