Faculty and Staff Biographies

Angela M. Salas is the founding Director of the Indiana University Southeast Honors Program, as well as Professor of English and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. She has over twenty years of experience in Honors education, and is a former Treasurer of the National Collegiate Honors Council, as well as a long-standing member of its Finance Committee.

Salas earned her PhD in English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and has published on a variety of subjects, including youth literature, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Honors education. She is also the author of Flashback through the Heart: the Poetry of Yusef Komunyakaa (2004).
