Taryn Hall has been working in writing centers for six years and is happy to continue that work as the IU Southeast Writing Center's Academic Specialist. She also teaches composition courses and FYS. She received her BA from IU Southeast before attending University of Louisville, where she graduated with an MA in English.
Her research interests are largely related to writing centers and the composition classroom, where she focuses on issues of authority, identity, and transfer.
She loves teaching, and loves the one-to-one nature of writing center teaching especially. She's willing and able to work with students on anything they are writing, though her own focus in research writing and literary analysis makes her especially fond of these genres.
